Masala chai is spiced milk tea: ‘chai’ means tea, typically black tea with milk in it, and ‘masala’ refers to the spices added to the tea for flavor. ‘Latte’ refers to the luxuriously creamy texture of the chai.

Where do our ingredients come from?
We source the freshest spices like ginger, cardamom, and Ceylon Cinnamon, directly from farmers in Matale and Kandy, Sri Lanka. The Ceylon Tea leaves are sourced from smallholder farmers in Ella and Deniyaya, Sri Lanka: two distinct terroirs that infuse our blend with diverse tannins and complexity.
How much caffeine is in our Masala Chai?
The caffeine level of Ceylon Tea is in the range of 22-30 mg per cup. For comparison, a normal cup of coffee contains 90-100 mg of caffeine. Please note that your steep time impacts the caffeine level of your tea!
